Osumi Low Level Bed

Description

Introducing the Osumi Low Level Bed, a futon bed that's perfect for vaulted ceilings or smaller spaces. It features a durable frame with optional Tatami Mats and/or one of our Devon-made mattresses, that'll guarantee you a comfortable night's sleep.

The Osumi is manufactured in 100% European Redwood Pine, left untreated for a natural finish. It uses 8 extra-wide slats and a central support bar for added strength and stability. You can then choose to top the frame with two traditional rice straw Tatamis for an additional cost. These mats have a firm feel, featuring compressed rice straw natural filling and a woven Igusa (soft rush) top covering.

You can choose to buy the frame as it is, or with the additional tatami mats and/or one of our Devon-made mattresses. Choose from one of three options: our traditional lambswool and cotton felt mattress, our pocket FutofFex sprung mattress or our Cocoloc firm futon mattress. Each one is upholstered in your choice of fabric and comes in the EU standard double size of 140cm by 200cm. Note - If you wish to purchase your own mattress, please check it's a EU double, with the longer length of 200cm

Suitability

Ideal for low ceilings due to its design. The smaller headboard and footboard will fit comfortably into loft rooms or mezzanine floors.
